Austin James Lutrick was privileged to grow up in the great state of Texas and attended the Landmark Baptist Church of Red Oak since he was 6 months old. One night, after family devotions, he sat on the couch with David, his dad, and asked Jesus Christ to be his personal savior.
At the age of 12, Pastor AJ attended the Red River Valley Youth Camp and there surrendered to preach the Word of God. From that day forward the Lord kept him on a journey of seeking His will and growing in the area of biblical preaching. After graduating from high school, Pastor AJ attended Heartland Baptist Bible College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in pastoral studies in 2013. Following the Lord’s leading, he stayed and received his Master of Divinity in 2015. While at Heartland, the Lord began to burden Pastor AJ with the call to church plant in the United States. The January before graduation, he was contacted by Pastor Matt Farinella from the Foundation Baptist Church in Sammamish Washington to come on church staff. With the future completely unknown, it became clear that Washington was the next step. Within a few months of coming to Sammamish, the Lord began to show more clearly the need for a fundamental Baptist church in Seattle. He surrendered to go and was ordained by the Foundation Baptist Church in April of 2017. Now, with several years of ministry and having fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest, Pastor AJ is passionate about seeing what God will do in the Emerald City for the cause of bringing people to Christ. |
